The Online Safety Bill - A step in the right direction?

The UK Government has announced plans on how it intends to protect children and adults online. The Online Safety Bill provides Ofcom the ability to issue codes of practice outlining the systems and processes that companies need to adopt in order to be compliant. As outlined in this #bbcnews report, these include the ability to issue fines of up to £18m or 10% of global turnover, whichever is higher, if firms fail to comply with the new rules. But does this Bill go far enough or is it a step in the right direction that requires additional action? Please share your thoughts
