What Others Said About Us
CYBER RESILIENCE AND INTERNET SAFETY EDUCATION PROJECT
I worked with Scott on national Cyber Resilience and Internet Safety mentor programme for teachers. Scott was very creative in how he approached the creation of his 'Digital Footprint' modules for teachers to develop their understanding of CRIS. His communication skills were excellent, and he met all deadlines for completed materials early, and was always happy to receive constructive feedback and to tweak resources that he was creating. Scott is very knowledgeable and experienced in his field, and I would happily work with him again in any future, related projects.
STRATEGY AND POLICY
Scott is a talented and dedicated cyber security specialist who has translated his knowledge from the public sector to a wider audience in the private and third sector. He is an accomplished leader, public speaker and can be relied upon to deliver training and awareness based on his operational and strategic experience. He has collaborative and committee skills and can be relied upon to influence decision making. On a personal level, he can be trusted to operate with integrity and do the simple things well.
I thoroughly recommend Scott - his approach to cyber crime prevention is unique in that he works with educating the individual to in turn, prevent the problem. He is so knowledgeable and is extremely person centred. I was really impressed with Scott's approach to tackling cyber crime and wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to any of my colleagues/network.
Thanks for some great advice, Scott, highlighting the risks and warning of the dangers of cyber attack & frauds. It’s a scary area that we were ignorant in. Now we’re alert with a security protocol.
Scott delivered a fantastic cyber security session to the RNID team in Scotland, great information and a lot of food for thought, particularly when working from home. How each area of your life can impact on the other was enlightening work, rest and play!
Scott has been a fantastic asset to Inspiring Scotland's Specialist Volunteering Network. He very kindly offered to deliver training on Cyber Security: The Human Element to our staff, funded organisations and wider IS community. The session was brilliant and we received excellent feedback from the attendees - the training steers clear of technical terminology and drives home the important messages regardless of your confidence in IT & cyber security - one attendee fed back that, "The delivery was straightforward and to the point, all staff would benefit from this". After a fully subscribed first session and high demand, Scott was more than happy to provide a second session (all pro-bono) which again went down very well.
Alongside the training delivery, Scott has supported another charity who reached out to the SVN for support around online harassment and defamation. Scott provided quick & comprehensive advice & stressed that he was happy to support further if needed. Scott has only been involved with the SVN for a few months but his support has been so impactful and far reaching - thank you!
